ENGLISH SPEAKING SUPPORT
what i can offer
Birth Doula support
I’m here to support all pregnant women, no matter how you envision your birth—whether that’s naturally, with a cesarean, or through a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). I work with families in homes, birth center’s, or hospitals. BIPOC and Queer friendly
Postpartum & overnights
Postpartum doulas are there to nurture the family during this time of great change. They are there to listen, guide, answer your questions and provide much needed assurance in a gentle, non-judgmental way, allowing you to develop your own unique parenting style that suits you. BIPOC and Queer friendly
Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta capsules and remedies have a long-standing history and are not a new concept. They offer a natural method to alleviate hormonal let-down and aid in the transition into the postpartum period.
ABOUT SHANAY
Calm, compassionate and NURTURING support
To “know your truth” during birth as a woman means understanding and honoring your unique desires, needs, and values in the childbirth process. It involves trusting your instincts, acknowledging your boundaries, and making informed decisions that align with what feels right for you and your body.
This could include choices about your birth plan, such as the setting, the type of support you want, pain management preferences, or how you wish to advocate for yourself. Knowing your truth also encompasses embracing your personal journey and letting go of external pressures or societal expectations, allowing you to experience birth in a way that feels authentic and connected.

Kartini & Simon
“After having Shanay attend the birth of my first child, there was no doubt in my mind when I was pregnant with my second, that I not only wanted, but needed her to be there for my second home birth. Her reassurance, light presence, loving and familiar touch was so vital in those wild hours. She supported all of us beautifully - myself, my partner, my midwife, and of course the new addition, during birth, and in the days that followed. Shanay's nourishing meals, oils, arms for carrying the baby or massaging me, but most importantly her knowledge and warmth gave us strength. You will always be such an intimate part of our family Shanay. Thank you for all that you do.”
